The Broadband Series of Valve Regulated Lead Acid (V.R.L.A.) batteries has been specifically designed for the rigorous requirements of Broadband Power.

This line of batteries is offered in both standard and premium versions to cover a wide range of applications.  The Standard Power Broadband Series is designed for CATV.  The Premium Power Broadband Series is designed to provide advanced protection for CATV / Telephony use, where superior performance and battery life are required.  Cast-on strap design for better consistancy and better life

  • Standard black polypropylene case and cover with reinforced end walls.
  • Removable carrying handles.
  • A recognized component of U.L..
  • Gas recombination greater than 99%.
  • Operates at a low internal pressure.
  • Never needs watering, minimal maintenance.
  • 99.985% pure lead, calcium alloy grids.
  • Shock absorbent thick wall polypropylene cases.
  • Cold forged non-porous terminal bushings, eliminate post leakage.
  • Thermally welded case to cover bond, eliminates both acid and electrical leaks.
  • Over-sized, through the partition inter-cell welds provide low resistance connections, with minimal power loss.
  • Flame arresting, low pressure safety release venting system for individual cells, recognized per U.L. 924.
  • Can be used in any orientation, upright side or end is recommended. 100% recyclable materials.
  • Measured high vacuum acid fill, reduces electrical variability between cells.

Operating specification:

Operating temperature range:     -40C/-40F to 60C/140F

Charging Voltage / Current:  2.27 to 2,30 volts per cell, Constant voltage at a maximum current of C/4 amps.

Temperature compensation: Apply for temperature range of 0C/32F to 40C/104F subtract 3mV/C cell or 1.7 mV/F/cell, abouve 25C/77F.

Storage Time from a fully charged condition: 6 months at 25C/77F. for each 9C/15F rise, reduce storage time by half.
